Welcome to the Lewis Eady Emerging Artists Concert Series in collaboration with CLEF – the Chiron Lewis Eady Foundation.
We are excited to be holding concerts once again and have a series of six concerts planned for the remainder of 2022 featuring young emerging artists.

Winner of the 2021 Lewis Eady National Piano Competition, Otis is a rising star who was also coveted with ‘Best Performance of a Classical Sonata’, as well as the “People’s Choice Award’ as part of this national contest.
Currently in his first-year student at Victoria University, Otis is a Wellington-born pianist studying classical performance piano with Jian Liu, his teacher since 2018. Otis began his piano studies with Erin Taylor at the age of five and from 2018-2020 studied with Emma Sayers. He has won many local competitions and in 2020 was awarded first prize at the New Zealand Junior Piano Competition (formerly the Wallace National Junior Piano Competition).
Otis enjoys chamber music and has played in many ensembles. One of these groups won a silver award at the 2020 NZCT Chamber Contest; another won a bronze award at the 2019 NZCT Chamber Contest. In 2021 Otis attended the Adam Summer School for Chamber Music in Nelson. He has been teaching the piano since 2017.
